The text is at the heart of arias and songs. The text is what convinced the composer to write a piece of vocal music. The text tells the story. - Would you like the audience to understand you even if they don’t have the text in their programme?

Having grown up bilingually, I am fluent in both German and Swedish. I have always had a strong interest in language and its sounds, especially in how the spoken language might need to be modified for singing.
